The paradox of Russian Civilization begs for clarity & resolution:  Russian foreign policy has historically been informed by its geographic vastness, however, contemporary technological developments eliminate the dominant role geography, effectively elevating the nature of the political regime to primacy.

Q1.  Crimea, Ukraine, & NATO OBSCURE dominant trends that portend a weak Muscovy.  How does Russia fix is dangerously low demography.

Q2.  Russia deployed hybrid force posture to Ukraine so as to not trip NATO article 5.  Your modernization plans have failed.  How does Russia accomplish force modernization while repudiating capitalist/market based approach.

Q3.  Edmund Burke's 'little platoons', his euphemism for the supremacy of civil society over 'the State' remains the final bulwark against tyranny.  Is AUTOCRACY the final regime for Russia?

Q4.  How to fix a floating Rubble w/o embracing efforts to diversify Russian political economy.

Q5.  German self-consciousness is still paralyzed from WWII.  Has Russia read U.S. & German leadership correctly?

Q6.  What permeant Russian interests are served by underwriting Iranian objectives?

Q7.  What are the sources of renewal for Russian Civilization.

Is Putin bombing Aleppo to send refugees fleeing to the EU via Turkey to politically disrupt both the EU and NATO. If this happens, will he feint at Latvia, pause, then launch a major offensive against Ukraine hoping to achieve victory before NATO can react? Remember that he was head of the KGB, and displays many of the attributes of s psychopath.
